New York Fashion Week, le premier jour. Team Ho-Kane was invited to see Rachel Comey’s Fall/Winter 2011 collection tonight at Pier 59 in Chelsea. We couldn’t say no to the awaiting whimsical patterns, cosy knits, and clever shoes. After a 15 minute walk in the cold, wind whipping our faces, and a steaming cup of hot coffee, practically frozen in our hands now, we’ve made it. The show begins. Convergence, as writers furiously take notes, editors, buyers, and stylists jot down and memorize the key looks, photographers yell at the models to step into the light, and the reverberating footsteps of these lithe models as they walk down the runway. It’s all beautiful.
